About us - Solar Water

Our vision is to create an end to water scarcity with a solution that will also create a better future for our planet. We will provide scaled supplies of freshwater with a planet-friendly, green energy system, using the concentrated power of the sun.

COMPANY HISTORY

The initial research and development phase was carried out in partnership with Cranfield University. Since then the design system has evolved to pioneer breakthrough concentrating solar power and desalination innovation.

Solar Water went on to win the prestigious Rushlight Water Treatment Award in a ceremony held at the Royal Geographical Society, London, in recognition of being a world-first for carbon neutral hydro-infrastructure.

Since then, Solar Water’s awareness and reputation has spread around the world, with the support of the British Government’s Department for International Trade – with applicability in over 50 markets worldwide.

OUR VISION

To affect climate change in a positive way through the application of green technology.

To produce an scaled supply of water for sustainable livelihood and socio-economic development and to improve health and well-being.

Using solar power to produce desalinated water for agricultural, industrial and domestic use in an environmentally friendly process.

To reduce global reliance on fossil fueled powered desalination methods, that generate a growing carbon footprint.

WE WILL…

Provide fresh water generation in regions where shortages are becoming acute and where current methods of production are no longer environmentally sustainable.

Produce hydro-infrastructure that is economical, carbon neutral and completely sustainable and that produces ongoing amounts of fresh water for multiple uses.

In January 2018, Solar Water Plc was announced as the winner of the prestigious Rushlight Water Treatment Award in a ceremony held at the Royal Geographical Society, London. This was in recognition of the project being a world-first for carbon neutral hydro-infrastructure.
